Located along the Indian River in the Thousand Islands Region of New York State, Indian River Wilderness Adventures has a licensed, experienced guide to enhance your outdoor, recreational experience in the Adirondack and Thousand Islands Region.  IRWAdventures offers day and overnight trips, year round:  canoeing, day hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing(instructional packages available), snowshoeing, and horseback riding (to include overnight trail trips).  Families, youth groups and individuals welcome.  We are 15 minutes from Fort Drum's North Gate, in the Town of Theresa, N.Y.
		Our guide, Thomas Nowak, is a licensed New York State Guide and member of the New York State Outdoor Guides Association (www.nysoga.com).  A former Marine and retired Army Officer, he has experience leading groups in mountainous, jungle and desert environments.  He also has 25+ years of cross-country skiing experience as well as extensive training and experience in cold weather environments.
